CERIC (Center for Research on Inter-group Relations and Conflict Resolution) is a research organization that studies the dynamics of inter-community group relationships as potential sources of conflict, through transparent and focused research methods.  Established by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Indonesia in co-operation with the South-east Asia Studies Program at Ohio University, CERIC conducts training about conflict prevention and group mediation for the general public and works to develop approaches to education that are based on the understanding of the relationship between groups and conflict resolution, through curriculum and syllabus development.  CERIC also works to build networks with Universities and NGOs, both within Indonesia and internationally.
